Improving the Quality of Education for All (IQEA)
IQEA - Improving the Quality of Education for All is dedicated to delivering long-term, sustainable school improvement, based on the realities of everyday school experience. The work of IQEA springs from the belief that if educators are to contribute effectively to their working environment in a climate of considerable educational change they need to develop skills, which are transferable, and will sustain longer term organisational and personal growth. In the words of Peter Senge they need to create an organisation that is continually expanding to create its future.
What is IQEA?
We are a network of schools, individuals and organisations concerned with enhancing student achievement and in strengthening the educational communities capacity for managing change. The principles of the group are founded upon action based research. By recording and analysing experience in a structured manner, we have learnt that educational communities are able to identify the necessary areas of focused action which can nurture long-term improvement.
Our approach is distinctive because it is embedded in a set of shared principles which all schools adopt on working with us. These principles underpin all aspects of our work and establish a strong foundation upon which all subsequent developmental action is based.
